I’m not quite sure why you have come here to read this article. Maybe you’re one of the many thousands who have been laid off in this recession. You could be someone who is tired of contracting your time for money. I’m sure there will be those who are just tired of working for someone else and want to create their own income. First and foremost…you are not going to build any kind of business without cost. If someone tells you that, you should run as fast and as far as you can. Depending on what you have to sell it will cost between a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Yes, you can sell your excess items on eBay but when you are down to one stick of furniture what do you do then? That is not a business. You need something that that can be sold over and over. The easiest way to get into the home based business market is through Affiliate Marketing. Affiliate Marketing is the advertising and selling of another person’s or company’s product.
They give you part of the profit for your work. How do you become an Affiliate? You can sign up for free at companies like ClickBank and PayZeno for nothing and you can find many others by typing into a search engine “Affiliate Companies”. Now don’t go running off just yet because like anything there is a right way and a wrong way to do things. So now we have a way to create a product to sell over and over but how? When you sign up to be an affiliate you will choose your ID. Make it simple. Don’t try to impress your friends with an ID like “John Johnson”. Try something like “jojo”. Make it short and simple. Why not? Because your web page address will be way too long to fit in the ad box. This is way too long. You now have your affiliate id and it’s time to pick a product. Each of these companies will have a variety of products to choose from. The problem here is you have very little support if any. These companies need you to save them money on advertising. That’s all they’re concerned about.
Are you ready to make some money now? The answer is…NO!!! Say it out loud. I am not ready to make money!!!
The way to make money with affiliate web sites is to advertise. You advertise on Search Engines and the like. Yahoo, MSN, and Google are the big three. These sites are not affiliate friendly and the minute they see that web address they will disapprove your ad. How can you avoid this? Simply by doing what you have to do in the first place. Build a website and get some web hosting.
I heard that!!! Yes, you know of sites that allow you to build your web site for nothing. That is not a smart move. Building a web site that charges nothing for you to build and them to host is bad business. It’s similar to building a store offline and running the electricity by generator. What happens when the generator goes down. You can’t fix it. You have to wait for someone to come in and fix it for you. While you’re waiting, the store is in darkness, your customers have all left and you’re not making money. The same thing will happen if your website goes down. If you’re not paying for hosting then you don’t have a tech at that site who can bring your business back up quickly.
There are many hosting companies out there to choose from. Most if not all will get you a domain name and have a system for building a web site. Once you have a place to create your website you can take each products ad and duplicate it on your site and now you have a web address you can advertise. The problem is that many of these companies use very complicated systems for building a web site. These are for tech savy individuals that know how to use html code.
The question is, “How do we overcome all these problems at the same time?” How do we overcome what affiliate program to sell, a web site address that search engines wont allow you to advertise, finding a web host that is set up for techs, getting the information required to sell products online, finding support for your product and creating income we can live on.
